SO SEE YOU LITTLE RECRUITS IN JULY & REMEMBER – NO WHINING !!!!

          As part of being a member of the United States Armed Forces, one takes on more than simply serving his country in a military capacity.  The Soldier, Sailor, Marine, or Airman inherits a legacy to safeguard Our Nation.  One of the most important aspects of this legacy is the continued freedom of our most important product, our Youth.

          Without a strong and patriotic willed youth, our Nation would have ceased to exist over 200 years ago.

The Reunion’s name gives credence to this in its name;

The Kansas Vietnam Veterans and FAMILY Reunion.

          Through the nearly singular efforts of just one member, we proudly present this page, dedicated to our Children, Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and the other young people who attend our Reunion.

          If it weren’t for the undertaking of the project by Henry McVay of providing clean wholesome entertainment for the youth who attend the Reunion, there would be no “Kids Tent”.  Henry’s love for children is evidenced by his never-ending campaign to collect donations of craft materials, projects, and developing activities to keep the smaller children happy and occupied, while all the Dads & Moms, Grandpas & Grandmas, or Uncles & Aunts enjoy the Reunion action on their own, without worry.

Kids, this is my last year to do the Kids’ Tent.  Although this is going to be my last year, the Kids Tent WILL CONTINUE ON and will always be a part of the Reunion.  If anyone is considering or wishes to volunteer and take charge of the Kids Tent, please contact me.  If you used to come to the Kids’ Tent, but now have grown up, please come by and visit me.  I would love to see you!      Henry

Lots of fun with clowns & balloons!                   Let’s learn how to make some fun!

                                                                      Smiles are Capt. Henry’s paycheck!

             The Kid’s Tent is a popular spot!                                                Kids of all sizes are welcome!

    Take a break & have some fun!            The most fun spot at the Reunion!           Letting the kids get creative!

The ‘Kids’ Tent” provides a shady, safe environment for the younger set (sometimes the not-so-younger) to relax, play,

do crafts, and maybe even learn a little about patriotism.

Captain Henry keeps the troops happy and occasionally gives them “SEAL” training!
